I used the Common Application for 4 college applications, (whereby the same application goes to all the schools I click on) but I accidently inserted the personal essay that was meant for a college (College A) that does not use the Common App. This particular essay named College A, and how wonderful I thought the school was - but Colleges B,C,D %26amp; E also got the essay which only talked about College A.
Is there any way to redeem myself with Colleges B,C,D %26amp; E????
College Application Error HUGE ERROR?
1. Call the schools - B,C,D,E and tell them that you would like to re-submit your personal statement.
2. Re-send it if they allow you to.
3. Pray and hope that don't read and compare your first one to your second one.
4. Lesson learned. ALWAYS READ BEFORE PRESSING "SUBMIT"
Reply:You can call them and ask about how you can submit a new personal essay, but they might look at the old one to see what was wrong with the original.
No one can really say how it will effect your chances, it depends! Good luck. Maybe you should consider applying to a few extra schools now?
