College is the best time of your life, haha?

Alright so I am a 19 year old guy in college. I would really like to know who the moron was that said college is the best time of your life. I can garuntee you its not and if it is I am in for a shitty life, if this is all I have to look forward to. I remember always hearing this growing up and seeing all the movies about how great college is and all this other crap. I was so excited to go to college, well I am now in college almost done with my first year, ya it sucks nothing great about it. I find it is almost as bad as highschool other then I dont have to wake up early ya. So what I want to know is why is college hyped up so much and where did all this crap come from?????

i agreed with you when I was in first year, I hated lving in dorms it sucked ***, everyone thought they were cool but were spoilt idiot rich kids who thought they were so much better than everyone else.





found my own house, my own friends and was gutted when i finished. if you arent happy, team up with other students who feel the same.





and even if you hate it, you get a qualification in the end.
Reply:Maybe the people who said that are all rich kids living on campus in fraternities and enjoying the awesome parties? But if you have to work and go to school it probably does seem like a lot of problems. Instead you can look forward to graduation and living the single life!
Reply:Um college was awesome for me!... until I moved off campus and realized that I was graduating with 2.80 due to partying and the endless row of coverless bars. You don't have to answer to anyone, you go to class when you want. College is a choice. Why don't you take a semester off?
Reply:supposedly youre away from the rents which gives you more freedom. just finish asap. college is fun in some ways, great parties, but it does suck in alot of ways too. all in all, i would never want to go back to hs though, you grow and learn from college and realize how much more you have to go in life. its definitely a stepping stone and experience people should go through if they wish. but if you have too much fun youll be in collge untill youre 45. good luck. and dont worry, college is fun, trust me youll look back and smile on the good times you had. get out and have some fun on the weekends a little, the time is now to do all the crazyness.

Reply:It is not crap to get a degree and obtain higher knowledge. No one can steal your knowledge from you. Wait til you are finished and see how great your wallet and future will be. Learn as much as you can from good books and great teachers. Stay in college while you can, or you will never get done. You don't want to go back to college when you are 60 y.o and have grandkids. Or still trying to finish college while rearing your own family and children. Youth only comes once in a lifetime. Enjoy it and try to count your blessings. College diploma is not even enough nowadays, MBAs or Masteral Degree get paid really well. You want to be paid based on what you know not on what you can only do physically. Physical labor is harder I tell yah. And you will become older and weaker and no one will hire you then. You think you can live on welfare? You think you'll be happier that way? How about your future family?
