College...?
How about taking a tour of each college, find out what program(s) you want to do/enter in, cost(s), then make a decision or apply for admission to these schools. Do these schools offer such programs? Have you looked? Are you choosing these schools because they are close to your home? Reputation of the school? Your high school buddies are going there?

I would suggest searching around a little more. Sometimes, the best programs aren't offered at traditional four-year universities.

A friend of mine attended The Brooks Institute of Technology (in Santa Barbra, CA); majored in graphic design, and makes a six-figure income. It

Other options:

Google (or Yahoo search) the following:

"Major: Graphic Design or Studio Art w/ a concentration in GD." and you can get a clear idea of what the program is about, what's offered, cost(s), etc. Enter a program where you feel like you're involved/learning; vs. you light years ahead of your professors.
Reply:The requirements are listed on their websites. You might want to try and raise your GPA for a better chance.
Reply:Probably FSU, SYRACUSE, YORK.

RISD, I thought needs a portfolio displaying artistic talents? But I'm not sure abuot the join program, soo...

BU, NYU i got into both with a 3.4 and 2300 SAT. so I don't know about a 2.8.

No idea about the rest.
Reply:If you want to get into a really good university, you should never have anything below a 3.0 GPA for any semester. But you might be able to get into many universities if you work hard for senior year, but it'll be an uphill battle.

Forget the Ivy League, Public Ivies, and Little Ivies, but don't settle for community college either. And you just might get into a good school with that SAT score.
Reply:I'd say that, except for your GPA, you have solid chances at Boston U, Florida State, Northeastern, Syracuse, and York.

However, it is important that you explain why your GPA is so low to them and ensure that you pick it up significantly the follow semester.

For NYU and the Brown U/Rhode Island School of Design, I am not as certain about, as they are very competitive. Though you do have solid test grades and leadership experience, I would have liked to see more extracurricular activities, and you had better present a very solid reason for why your GPA dropped. However, these are both points you can work on. :)

Best of luck!
