College or mail man?

I really am wondering if I should go to college or to be a mail man. I think if I go to college I will try to be a writer-but If I could I would write scripts for movies. I am worried about missing out on college because someone that I know went to college and said that it was great. I think he has a slanted opinion on college because I think that you don't need college to be successful...anyway I would like to hear some of your opinions on this. should I be a mail man or go to college?

College or mail man?
We cannot and should not tell you what to do. Hell, I am 27, and I still am not sure what I want to be. So, know you're in good company of not being sure.

I guess you could try each of them out for a while, or tag along with a mail man and see if that's the job for you. I mean, noone's holding a gun to your head making you decide. YOU HAVE TIME! No rush.

Plus, whoever said a mail man's not a good future is crazy. Mail man have great benefits, and I know my best friend married a mail man who LOVES his job. He actually is a mail man by day, and rock singer by night. so, it is possible to be both a writer and have a full time mail man job..

but, like I said, you have time..

Also, I know of a way, using Scientolgoy technology that helps you figure out what type of condition you're in. Using Ethics technology, you decide what condition you're in... maybe you're in doubt, or confusion? Either way, there is a simple formula in the Scientology Ethics book that helps you sort out confusion in your life.

You will be fine. You have goals, and dreams. This means you be successful with any path you chose.

Good luck
Reply:You really should think about college--often the USPS hires part-time workers. Your friend is WRONG--there is a great need these days to go beyond high school!! There are all kinds of opportunities, and you can always write on the side (screenwriting is VERY iffy--I know someone who graduated three years ago in the field and is still struggling). Why not start at a community college, see what there is (you should do well in English, etc.) plus work part time. If you are disciplined, you can do some classes on line at many CCs, which can help with work.
Reply:Mail man isent a good future, and unless youve won writing awards you will be mediocure at that too. Try a important major like engineering or medicine.
Reply:Interesting question!

How about working as a mail-man part time while you are at college?

Do what you want, when you are ready. You can go back to college later on in life, or become a mail man once you have your degree. Cliche, I know, but "follow your heart."
Reply:I have three degrees and it was a total waste of time. Be a mail man. You don't need a degree to become a writer. One of my degrees is in writing. A lot of freelancers don't have degrees. Government job equals benefits and a holiday every other day.
Reply:According to me u should go to college because studies are the most important part of the life which we are not able to understand when we are studing but

when we start doing job or any profession and at that time studies are not possible because we dont get time for that and for success or to go upwards we need studies or qualification

then we realise how studies are important

i am saying thing because this is my personal and hard experience
Reply:Get into a job that you will love. College isn't for everyone. Life is short, so follow your own path and enjoy it.
