College decision?

Hello, I'm a senior in high school and i been thinking much about college lately. I have only been in the united states for 5 years however i can speak and write English well. I have an average that i keep between an 81 and a 89. In my sat's i didn't do well i only got an 1207 overall.I'm undecided about my major however I applied for college already but i been thinking if it would be better if i did my first year of college in a community college, then transfer after my first year to a better college or university. So far i haven't heard from all the colleges i applied to but i didndt get into 4 of them, i still have 6 more colleges that i dont have an answer from but im nervous and would like to have a backup plan.

College decision?
definetly apply to a community college even if you do get in on any of the other colleges.

there are also technical or vocational schools that you may be interested in. you should go ahead and look up some info on that..

but having a backup plan is a great idea. Community colleges do tend to be more "relaxed" from what I've heard. I recommend talking to a career advisor or counselor to help you check out what you might be interested in as a career. Plus try getting experience somewhere by volunteering or just checking out places you would like to work in ..

hope this helps. good luck!
Reply:what universities did u applied?

my opinion is go to the community and then transfer to universitie
Reply:yeah, id advise u to go to a community college or a state college, because those are easier to get into. then, u can always transfer later.
Reply:is that a 1207 out of 1600 or 2400?

what schools have you applied to?
