Which college is right for me?

I am a senior in high school, and I am currently applying to college. My absolute top choice college is a safety/match for me. I am in love with the place. More than ever I want to go there. And there is a high possibility of recieving a merit scholarship from them. It is a pretty good college (top 361 in Priceton Reveiw, and is highly recognized in the south), but its not recognized like Harvard or Yale. There is also this college that I am fond of, but not too crazy about. This college is very competitive, nationally recognized, and near Ivy-League level. It is definately a reach for me, but this college is considering recruiting me for tennis.

I'd use tennis to get into college, but it certainly isn't swaying my decision in which college I choose.

Say I get accepted into both colleges...which one should I go to? The college that I love and want to be it with possible scholarship, or the nationally recognized competitive college that I am fond of but not crazy about.

Which college is right for me?
Please go to the school you really love. Trust me, you will be much happier if you follow your heart. You can still get a phenomenal education at that school.
Reply:This is a tough one. I generally think you should attend the best college you get accepted to...meaning, in this case, the very competitive, nationally recognized one. On the other hand, if you are getting in mostly because of tennis, you might struggle to maximize this experience for yourself. Additionally, you really love the other school, it seems to be a great fit for you, and you're getting a scholarship....and sounds like a "good" school, academically.

If you can do the work at the "better" school and can dedicate the time and energy to tennis, as well... I'd suggest you visit the school another couple of times before rejecting it. I'll bet if you decided to go you'd grow to love that school just as much as the other one.

In the end, it's your decision and you have to feel good about it.

Wait to see if you're accepted, keep your mind open, visit, and then decide.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Either way, I think it's going to work out just the way it should.
Reply:More information is needed to answer this question.. first of all, what are the colleges?, What is your GPA and SAT score?, etc.

All in all, though, you should probably pick the college at which you feel most at home.
