Is College Useless?

Do you or do you not believe that college is useless? Firstly, many people say it helps you get a better job. Well times have changed. More people are going to college, in which there isnt enough jobs for all of them.


Some people cheat their way through college, and end up being a uneducated doctor. And dont get me started on sports scholarships! Those who receive sports scholarships for havard (and are not very smart) are taking the hard work from others- selfish! I believe college is messed up and flawed, and not really necessary to be successful. For example Bill Gates never went to college and made billions.


The point that I am trying to make is why would you want to go to college if there isnt a 100 % chance to be successful? Have you gone to college and are you successful?

Is College Useless?
Life isnt fair, nothing is guaranteed. You have to apply yourself. Just because you have a degree doesn't guarantee you the best job, it's up to you to go find the right job and to do what you can to make yourself successful. College isn't ALL about getting a good job afterwards. You learn about your self, learn about others and grow as a person.

I was so worried I was going to make a 'wrong decision' in my choice for life in school, that I did not make any decision. It's better to make a wrong decision and change later than not do it at all.
Reply:I am currently enrolled in college and its not the answer to all problems. I want it to be a building block to whatever I want to do. I dont need to stop here, I can even go back for more schooling if I want. Im using my degree to become a school teacher and who knows what else.
Reply:It sounds like your mind is made up and you are trying to convince others. Sorry, but there are few good jobs for those without a degree.

I wanted to learn some about my field of work %26amp; thats why I went to college.
