does anyone know WHAT i should study at college to become a geography teacher

i would recomend geography.





ok you get to choose usually 4 A levels.





so geography


sociology or psycology always look good


pick a one thats a bit different to fall back on


and one you enjoy.





and you can do your teaching traing at uni





your connections adviser should be able to help you further with the choice good luck.

Reply:Easy question -- enroll in college, tell your advisor you want to teach geography, then follow the degree plan they recommend. Better yet, contact colleges you are considering attending and ask them what they offer to prepare to you to teach geography.





I can't imagine that they are any colleges today that don't offer some sort of career counseling servcie. Take advantage of it.
Reply:if u do major in education make sure to have atleast a minor in geography. i highly qualified teacher (as stated by Bush) is one who either has a degree in the field they are teaching or they have enought college hours in that particular discipline
Reply:You get an education degree! Call the education, teaching, department at any college you are looking into, and they will tell you the exact name of the degree you need to teach geography!! You can also ask you geography teacher what his/her degree is!
