College???

I want to be either a psychiatrist or a nurse in the birth department. Either way I will have to go to medical school. So what is one of the best medical colleges to go to??

College???
Alot of the better Colleges offer pre-med, which you'll need to do first. 4 years of pre-med in college, then you graduate and go to Medical school. YOu could try doubling up, as in going to NYU for Pre-med, and then going to NYU medical School. Or the same with Harvard, or Columbia, or U of Chicago, etc...

As for medical schools...Oh god! there are alot. John's Hopkins, Harvard, NYU Medical, Washington, Duke, Michigan, Yale, Cornell, U of Chicago is great, Stanford, Penn, Columbia is great. Depends on how much money you want to or can spend. If i had the coin and wanted to do med school, ild break my neck to get into Johns Hopkins in Baltimore..Harvard has the rep as the king, but Johns Hopkins i think is the Cream.
Reply:Medical school comes after college. You'll have to go somewhere for 4 years of premed first.
Reply:the cheapest.

but i'm the only guy who will tell you that i guess.

Anyway, good luck!
Reply:To be a nurse you don't have to go to med school. You have to go to a school with a BSN program. Tons of places have them. Also, working in the obstetrics part of a hospital is fun, but tough. You have to be able to deal with miscarriages, deaths, and sick babies. Make sure you're able to handle all that before you get to into that career choice. The first acephalic baby I helped deliver was heartwrenching, and the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Several of the newer nurses weren't able to deal with it. As for med schools, the University of Oklahom has a great MD program.
