College..?
For SIUE, if you are not from southern Illinois, it is not worth applying.

In general, most pharmacy schools are biased against community college only students. Pharmacy schools are moving towards requiring a bachelors. At my school, we have less than 5 true CC students in my class of 162.

To be competitive, you'll have to go to a 4 year school, if you want to be accepted after 2 years.

Some schools require that all your science prereqs be taken at 4 year schools.
Reply:BTW, to be a licensed pharmasict, you need a PhD in some kind of a bio-chem major and it is a very difficult field... just giving you a heads-up.
Reply:If you're a senior, apply to your community college ASAP! Most of the time you can apply online, just check out their website. If not, you can go see your guidance counselor for a general application.

Once you've applied and have been accepted, you can make an appointment with an advisor, and they will help you with what you need to take to get into a university.

Really, if you're that unsure about what to do, talk to your high school guidance counselor...they can tell you about scholarships, tips on how to get in, and maybe even be reference for you. But, you musn't wait...the sooner you apply, the better. Good luck!
