Brown?
U Penn?
Boston College?
University of Florida?
College....????
If Florida has the program you're looking for, I would pick them... otherwise find the program you're looking for. College can get very expensive so having that scholarship paying for it is a worthwhile thing to consider. If you prefer not to go there, consider what financial aid you will get for your other choices and if you can afford the rest of the tuition. You may get other scholarships for those schools if you apply. Good luck :)
Reply:Consider going to U of Florida. If they have an honors program, do it. Get a good GPA, do some co-ops/internships in your areas of interest, and when you come out, you'll be highly employable.
U of F is a good school. It's certainly one of the best, if not the best university in your state. And for you, it'd be free - that is sweet. I did that, with my state's university. I got into more elite private schools. I *chose* my state university because it was good, solid, reputable, and because I'd done so well, it was tuition free. Seriously consider U of F. Keep it on your list as a top contender.
Unless you feel U of F is a poor fit, and another similarly ranked school is a perfect fit for you, don't bother with other schools that are similarly ranked unless they throw a lot of money at you. But if you can get into one of the top ranked universities in the nation, you could let that sway you. For example, if you got into Brown - then we could talk. But even then, be aware not just of the rep of the school as a whole, but also of its rep in your field of study. U of F could rank higher than Brown in Enviro Sci - check into that. Consider that sort of thing as well.
